Paul Mirengoff, one of the Power Line philosohers, the least crazy one, actually, writes:
Not long ago, President Obama demanded an end to all construction in and around Israeli settlements on the West Bank, including "natural growth" construction. Prime Minister Netanyahu, taking a position that Israelis overwhelmingly support, rejected this demand.
Needless to say, Mirengoff is with Netanyahoo, not our president.
It isn't clear to me what Israelis overwhelmingly support. West Bank settlements? So-called "natural growth" construction? In any case, the claim about the overwhelming support of the Israeli public is itself unsupported, and in an effort to find out what Mirengoff might be talking about I typed into Google "Israel public opinion settlements." Return number one. Return number two.
That qualifies as yet another power outage.
