For those of you who may be interested in the cancer-statistics-"Price is Right" nexus, here is an interesting and entertaining article that I for sure would have missed but for the fact that the author, Elisa Long, is Amanda's high-school classmate and FB friend. She (Elisa, not Amanda) is possibly the only person from Fridley, Minnesota, who has ever taught math at Yale. But I wonder if she could solve this problem:
A baseball season is 162 games long. If, after 90 games, a team has 50 wins, what is the probability that for the season this team ends up losing more games than it wins?
