I watched today's cable news through the fog of a World Series hangover, so may not have picked up on the most important points, but a couple of things:
1. Apparently there was a two or three year period earlier this decade during which Manafort spent like $1.5 million on clothes. He'd go into a Manhattan haberdashery and say, for example, "Give me fifty thousand dollars worth of neckties" in the same way I heard my dad tell filling station attendants, "Two dollars of regular, please." Then he (Manafort) would pay with a wire transfer from a bank in Cyprus. While they ran the old tapes of him lying I would study his suits and they looked like everyone else's, which is why I buy wine at Trader Joe's.
2. Thought I had a couple of things but I guess not.
