Our president is a fraud, for sure, and dangerous, so that being a citizen is like being in the audience for some absurdist play or movie, and feeling unsure about whether laughter or horror is the more appropriate response. I lean toward laughter. Not for any deep reason, it's just more pleasant. Yesterday, maybe the day before, he tweeted:
Numerous states introducing Bible Literacy classes, giving students the option of studying the Bible. Starting to make a turn back? Great!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 28, 2019
Which raised the profile of this interview he gave during the campaign:
"When I talk about the Bible, it's very personal [so I'm not going to talk about it]." LOL! He wouldn't be able to tell you whether "the gospels" are part of the Old Testament or New. He probably didn't know about the two parts till John Heilemann asked his question. But it's great that biblical literacy is making a "turn back"!
It's also sort of amusing that the other interviewer, Mark Halperin, lost his job for behavior towards women that approximated the interviewee's self-described unknightly habits in this regard. Interviewer fired by private employer, interviewee elected president of the United States. Hahahahaha!
