Family wedding tomorrow. Daughters have been planning for weeks what to wear. Today they asked, I thought a little worriedly, if I knew what I was wearing, so I looked in the closet, put something on, and modeled it for them. They studied me impassively. I think the younger one thought the verdict could go either way, because I saw her look at the older one, as if willing to take a cue. Older one finally pronounced me "okay," at which time younger one elaborated, "Passable, barely."
It's good I passed inspection because it seems my options on these occasions are limited: I found in the pocket of the blue blazer I had on the church bulletin for the funeral service of a friend's mom. It's dated June 18, 2021. I'm thinking that if I can maintain roughly the same weight, at the rate of one use per year this blue blazer should get me to the finish line.
